Sledding Hill Guidelines
- Sleds with metal runners, skis and snowboards are prohibited.
- There is no tow rope at this facility.
Outdoor Ice Rink at Staring Lake Park
Rinks are currently open as of 1/16/24 (weather permitting). A limited selection of ice skates and snowshoes are available to check out during open hours at the Staring Lake Park Building. Equipment made available on a first-come, first-served basis.
2024 Staring Lake Park Warming House Hours
Monday - Friday: 4pm - 8pm
Saturday: 11am - 9pm
Sunday: 12pm - 5pm
Non-School Days: 11am - 9pm
Open hours are weather permitting. For the safety of users and staff, ice rinks and sledding hills are closed when the windchill drops to 0 degrees, according to the weather report one hour before the scheduled opening.
Staring Lake Ski Trails
The trails are groomed by Eden Prairie High School after each significant snowfall and available weather permitting for cross country skiing. Please note: The trails are often used by the Eden Prairie High School Nordic Ski Team for both practices and ski meets.
